HAJJ 2022: Bauchi Intending Pilgrims Advice to Take Full Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

 Bauchi State intending pilgrims have been called upon to ensure they take their full dose of COVID-19 vaccine, as the Saudi Arabian kingdom has made it mandatory to all intending pilgrims to submit a negative COVID-19 test result (PRC) 24 hrs before their departure to the kingdom.

Executive Secretary, Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris who made this known while addressing the intending pilgrims at Baba Sidi Hajj review centre in Bauchi, says all intending pilgrims most under go a PRC test.

Imam Abdurrahman says the state is fully committed to comply with the Saudi guideline to ensure in order to ense a hitch free operation.

Part of the guidelines is to ensure that all intending pilgrims willing to perform pilgrimage this year Hajj must be under 65 year of age and have received full dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

Imam Abdurrahman noted that the Board's visit was a deliberate efforts to inspect all the 56 Hajj review centers in the state with a view to identify Hajj classes, educacate, enlighten and encourages both intending pilgrims and the facilitators.

He added that the Board would continue to work with the facilitators and all other relevant stakeholders for the best interest of the pilgrims.

In a similar development, the Executive Secretary paid unscheduled visits to Hajj inoculation centres in the state. 

At General Hospital in Bauchi metropolis the Executive Secretary expressed satisfaction on the progress of the excercise, hence called on the intending pilgrims that are yet to be immunized to visit the nearest General Hospitals in the state for their inoculation.

Imam Abdurrahman used the forum and advise the intending pilgrims to desist from travelling with prohibited items likes kola nuts and ilisit drugs, urged them to be law abiding while in Saudi Arabia.
