HAJJ 2022: BSPHCDA Says All Bauchi Intending Pilgrims to Get Full Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine Before Take Off


Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency has expressed readiness to collaborate with the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in order to ensure that all intending pilgrims receive their full dose of COVID-19 vaccine before going to the holy land.

Chairman of the Agency Dr. Rilwanu Muhammad disclosed this recently during an inspection visit on the ongoing vaccination exercise on the intending pilgrims in preparation for their take off to the Holly Land, Saudi Arabia.



Speaking after inspecting the exercise at Headquarters of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed explains that out of the total number of 1,200 shortlisted intending pilgrims that are expected to perform this year's pilgrimage from Bauchi State, the Agency is working strenuously with Piilgrims Board to ensure every intending pilgrim are vaccinated.

As part of the prerequisites to perform pilgrimage, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made it mandatory for every intending pilgrim to undergo series of vaccination, of which COVID-19 is a major one and so far, a reasonable number of persoms have been vaccinated and the Agency will provide other vaccines such as Oral polio and CSM vaccines.



Dr. Rilwanu however admonished the intending pilgrims to ensure total compliance for the success of the exercise and cautioned them against any attempt to dodge, which according to him can bring set back which may deny them the opportunity to perform Hajj.
