HAJJ 2022: More than 1,000 Bauchi Intending Pilgrims Registered on HAJJ E-Track Portal

Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board says it has registered  over 1000 intending pilgrims at the e-track registration Portal which is activated by Saudi Ministry of Hajj Affairs and regulated by the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON).

Executive Secretary of the Board Iman Abdurrahman Ibrahim disclosed this at the  stakeholders preparatory meeting on Hajj 2022, held at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi.

Imam Ibrahim pointed out that the Board has received a total of 1362 Hajj slots from NAHCON and judiciously allocated it to the 20 Local Government Areas across the state and the Board's secretariat.

He stressed that due to persistent request for slots from the intending pilgrims, the Board has requested for additional slots from the National Commission and is hoping for a positive response 

He however reaffirmed commitment of the administration of Governor Bala  Muhammad towards providing a welfare services to the Bauchi State contingent to Saudi Arabia, noting that this administration has recently commissioned an Ultra-Modern Hajj Camp in Bauchi and expressed readiness to support the Hajj excercise.

He therefore emphasised the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure a hitch free exercise in the state.

Present at the meeting includes: NAHCON BAUCHI outreach office officials,  the Chairman of the Board Imam Bala Ahmad Limanci, representative of the Security Agencies, FAAN, NAMA, NCAA, AID Groups, NGOs and the Airport Manager.
