Woman Gives Birth to Four Female Babies in Zamfara

A woman in Zamfara State has given birth to four babies at the same time, all of them girls, at Shinkafi General Hospital.

According to midwife Hajiya Kulu, one of the hospital staff who received the birth, scanning initially revealed that the woman was carrying three babies.

But after she gave birth to three children, it was discovered that she had given birth to a fourth child.

The midwife said all the babies and their mother were in good health, but also said there was a problem, because they had to be put in incubator machine, but also the hospital did not have this machine.

"This is a challenge for them because their parents are very weak," said the midwife.

The babies' father, Mallam Is'haqa Isa, told the BBC he was grateful to God for providing him with these children.

But he said he was seeking public help as he was currently unemployed and could not afford even N5,000, being a lame.
