The Nigerian Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has reiterated that it is confident of evacuating all the remaining pilgrims as the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to close on Sunday night.
So far more than 18,000 pilgrims are waiting to be flown to Saudi Arabia, while NAHCON has evacuated only 25,361 of the more than 43,000 Nigerian pilgrims.
By 12:00 tonight Sunday the deadline to close airlifting of the intending pilgrims will expire, although some airlines have received extra hours to continue the work.
During a press conference in Abuja on Sunday, NAHCON said it was confident of evacuating the remaining pilgrims to the holy land for this year's Hajj.
