Bauchi State governor Bala Muhammad says his administration will collaborate with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide reasonable relief materials to the victims of flood disaster in Darazo Local Government area of the state.
The governor who stated this on Monday when he paid a sympathy and assessment visit to the area, says his administration will ensure equitable distribution of relief materials to only the affected persons.
Bala Muhammad also called on the people of the area to take this as a will of God.
Mohammed while interacting with affected persons during the assessment visit to the affected areas, said the State Government will ensure causes of the flood are identified with a view to providing succor and solutions.
He assured the victims of immediate distribution of relief materials as part of efforts to alleviate sufferings, calling on Federal Government to assist the state with humanitarian support.
Governor Bala appreciated the people of Darazo for their support to his administration and pledged to reciprocate it with provision of social amenities in the area.
In their seperate remarks, the Chairman of the Local Government, Engineer Mahmoud Bello Yayaji and the District Head of Darazo, Alhaji Muhammadu Bababa Ibrahim Hamza expressed gratitude to the Governor for his concern and providing Darazo with dividends of democracy.
