Eid-el Kabir; Gombe Deputy Governor Tasks Muslims on Love, Unity and Sacrifice

Gombe State Deputy Governor Manassah Daniel Jatau, Ph.D, sends his Goodwill message to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of 2022 Eid-el Kabir Sallah celebration.

In the message the Deputy Governor congratulated the Muslims for witnessing another season of Sallah celebration when sacrifices are made to appease and invoke Allah's blessings on humanity.

He said, "the killings of animals in line with islamic Injunctions are sacrifices made to please Allah and invoke his blessings upon humanity. I enjoined all the Muslim Ummah therefore to imbibe the spirit of love, unity and sacrifice to all people irrespective of religious, social, cultural, or even class difference."

 "That God blesses all humanity, and tolerates us all the righteous and the unrighteous alike is an indication that we should accommodate humanity no matter their personal dispositions, doctrines and beliefts."

He stressed that "as human beings, and especially as people of integrity and goodwill we need to join hands in fighting our common enemies like insurgency, kidnapping, corruption, and environmental degradation which rear their ugly heads and threatens our very existence. We must choose to fight together and survive or be indifferent to our common challenges and face extinction"

The Deputy Governor noted that, "while we return to God and allow him to take control, we must thrive to do our obligations as adherents of religion and as citizens of our beloved nation. To this end, I urged all of us to ensure that we collect our PVCs in preparation of the forth coming general elections. Let us not forget to pray for the success of the elections, too". May I also seize this opportunity to appreciate God for successful primary elections and Congresses throughout the state."

The Deputy Governor appreciated all the citizenry for contributing to the peace, unity and sustenable socioeconomic development, pointing out that, Nigerians must learn from history and indeed happenings around the world, especially the recent Russian-Ukraine War,. That peace is very pivotal to progress and war only produces endless devastation to humanity.

He noted the need for people to be committed in prayers for adequate rainfall and engage into farming and other economic activities in view of daunting challenges facing the nations economy, and solicited for support from the citizenry to the policies and programs of the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to be able to continue with the provision of democracy dividends to the people in the state.

Dr. Jatau prayed for hitch free Sallah celebration, successful and safe return of pilgrims and a blessed Gombe State and Nigeria.
