Eid-ElKabir: 'Pray for Nigeria as We Approach 2023 General Elections' - Nuhu Zaki

Nigerians have been called upon to use this period of sacrifice for the sake of Allah and pray for the sustainability of peace especially now that we the country approach 2023 general elections.

The call was made by commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Nuhu Zaki while speaking to journalists shortly after observing the two raka'at prayer at Kasuwan Shanu Eid ground in Bauchi metropolis.

Nuhu Zaki says it is imperative "to call on the muslim umma to use this period to pray for peace in Nigeria as we approach the genaral elections comes 2023."

He however cautions people to desist from evil act and live in peace with one another, as it is the bedrock of any meaningful development.

Earlier in his sermon, Iman of Kasuwan Shanu Eid ground Bauchi of Izalatul Bid'a Wa Iqamatus Sunnah founded by Sheik Isma'il Zakariyya, Malam Nafi'u Usman Ibrahim, also emphasizes the need for Nigerians to elect credible leaders in the forthcoming general elections as the country is in need of leaders that have the interest of the masses at heart.


Imam Nafi'u says the call became imperative as we are fast approaching the 2023 general elections, saying since people are at the liberty to vote for a candidates of their choice, they should make the right choice of leaders who are credible ones.

The cleric also admonished parents to intensify efforts towards ensuring moral upbringing of their children.

Malam Nafi'u itemized the types of animal to slaughter which are healthiest from rams, goats, cows and camels.

"The period which signifies sacrifice to Allah called on the peoples who are opportuned to do the act of sacrifice to observe theirs for the sake God and to share with the needy amongst them," he said.
