JAC's Strike Dishonored our Commitment- Bauchi State Gov't.

Bauchi State Government has expressed disappointment over the recent strike embarked upon by members of Joint Action Committee of the State owned tertiary institutions.

It therefore called for resumption of academic activities in the institutions to allow the government attend to the issues raised with a view to resolving them.

The State Head Civil Services Alh. Yahuza Adamu Haruna who made the government's position know at a press briefing in Government House Bauchi described the action which resulted to protests as uncalled for.

Alh. Yahuza Adamu Haruna said government through his office shows strong commitment in attending to some of their major demands by conducting series of fruitful meetings with Heads of the Institutions and leadership of the union.

While admitting that the introduction of the new salary administration system aimed at sanitizing nominal and payroll has affected some innocent workers including few members of union, the Head of Service blamed the striking union for it failure to produce genuine affected persons from the union to enable government takes necessary action.

Also speaking the State Commissioner of Education Dr. Aliyu Tilde who said government was working to resolving the lingering issue, appealed for patience understanding.

He also warned students against taking part in any act public disturbance.
