The Kano State Consumer Protection Commission has confiscated 487 bags of flowers, which were damaged in a warehouse at Dawanau Market in Kano.

Punch Nigeria quoted the public relations officer of the commission, Musbahu Yakasai, in a statement as saying that the acting director of the commission, Dr. Baffa Dan Agundi, made the announcement in his office after the recovery.

Dr Baffa Dan Agundi said the agency had provided confidential information about the flower which was brought to the market with the intention of selling it. He added that tests on the flower product showed that it had already been damaged for a long time.

He said the agency had also seized a large number of damaged lemons which were being sold at the Sabon Gari market in the state. The Kano State Government has confiscated 487 bags of 'damaged' flowers
