President Buhari Vowes to Rescue those Abducted in the Shiroro Attack in Niger State

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned Thursday's attack in Shiroro Local Government Area of ​​Niger State, saying it was an attack on Nigeria as a whole.

The president, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Malam Garba Shehu, said the attackers must be punished because they would never be forgiven.

He also said the attack would not affect their fight against security concerns, as the country cooperated to fight insurgents and criminals who appeared to be plagued by epidemics.

President Buhari sent a message of condolences to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country, and urged Nigerians to pray for them and rescue their captives.

The attackers killed 15 soldiers and seven policemen in an ambush.

Earlier, the terrorists have attacked a Chinese mining operation in Ajata-Aboki area of ​​Gurmana area of ​​Shiroro Local Government Area.

Among those killed in the attack were seven policemen and some soldiers.

Shiroro is a very important city in Nigeria with a power generation of 600 megawatts.
