A group of students in Bauchi have expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration under the leadership of governor Bala Muhammad, lamenting that the government is unable to fulfill its mandate especially in the area of educational development.
The group Dokaji Students Support Group while addressing the press in Bauchi says it is high time for people of the state to look for change of leadership that will prosper and respond to the yearnings and aspirations of the citizenry.
According to the leadership of the group Comrade Ahmed Sirajo Toro says, "in this critical situation in our State and country at large we need to rebirth the leadership of the current administration as they have demonstrated to us their inability to fulfill their promise of protecting the lives and properties of the citizens as a key to every society's development."

Comrade Ahmed further said, "the people in government with their political parties ruling us since are unable to provide unity, and peaceful coexistence as well as enhance and facilitate development to the citizens who voted them in such responsibilities."
"Bauchi State has been left behind on issues that bring development, not enough educational facilities and scholarship grants to Bauchi State Students, no employment opportunities for our teaming youths, no transparent leadership as well people are suffering living in hunger, those in government could not get their salaries."
Comrade Ahmed said it is therefore pertinent that head of the 2023 General Election, Bauchi State Youths and students, patriotic citizens of "our great Bauchi State, we need to rebirth the leadership and allow youth to take the mantle of leadership."
"We need to support a competent and intellectual personality with the vision to move Bauchi State forwards as our governor comes 2023. This is not any other person but HE. Sen Halliru D Jika our Governor 2023 in shaa Allah," he said.
According to the leader of the group, "Senator Halliru D Jika is a man who is young and vibrant, an intellectual person who demonstrated his charismatic leadership style and quality representation at the senate, his contributions towards human and capital development in Bauchi State cannot be overemphasized."
"These contributions also include provisions of infrastructure, provisions of Educational support as well as building of schools, provisions of health facilities and buildings of hospitals, provisions of employment opportunities for youths of Bauchi state at various Federal Governments parastatal, construction of roads, women and youths empowerments programs and training for skills acquisitions and so many other important projects to mention," he added.
He said, "with the aforementioned qualities and projects, he does as a senator gives us hope for a better Bauchi State in 2023. The entire Bauchi State student, as well as patriotic youths and citizens of the state under the Team D.S.S.G, notify the general public as well call on all other indigenous peoples of Bauchi state to joint, support, endorse and vote for Senator Halliru Dauda Jika of NNPP as their solid Bauchi state Governorship candidate ahead of 2023 General Elections."
According to Ahmed, "vote for Senator Halliru Jika is a vote for the progress, prosperity, transformation, and reformation of a new Bauchi state that will indeed redefine the greater Bauchi State which will enable us to claim the glory of capital national development and give ways for viable investors to establish industries in our dear Bauchi State."
