Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has joined forty three other Nigerians who distinguished themselves to receive Nigeria Excellence Service Award in Public Service in recognition of his performance in Rural Development and Economic Empowerment Initiative.
This followed the Governor's performance in provision roads network, construction of Health-care facilities and rehabilitation of schools as well as Agricultural Intervention in rural areas across the state.
The award by the Best Strategic Media TBS in collaboration with Office of Secretary to the Government of Federation was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari in Presidential Vila Abuja.
Presenting the award to the Governor, President Muhammadu Buhari who congratulated him and other recipients for honor, charged them to consolidate on the achievements towards attracting more recognitions.
Speaking after receiving the award, Governor Bala Mohammed who expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributed the development to the support and cooperation his administration is receiving from the teaming populace of Bauchi State.
According to the Governor, it would further encourage him to do more in initiating policies and programmes aimed at impacting positively on the lives of people especially at the rural level.
Other recipients of the award include former President Goodluck Ebele Johnathan, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, Governors Borno, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Nasarawa, Rivers.
Others are Ministers of Communication and Digital Economy Prof. Isah Ali Pantami, information and culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Chief of Defense Staff Lucky Irabo and NNPC Group Chief Executive Office Melo Kyari among others.
