Bauchi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Building, NIOB, says it will sensitize people on the effects of building collapse across the state.
The NIOB's Chairman, Bauchi State Chapter, Builder Zailani Yusuf, disclosed this shortly after he was sworn in as the newly elected Chairman of the institute in the state.
Zailani Yusuf, who beat two other contestants to clinch the position, says building collapse is one of the major concerns of the institute, hence their resolve to sensitize people on its effect.
He promised to carry students' bodies and artisans along, in addition to introducing more policies for the development of the institute.
The Chairman, who commended members of the association for voting for him, called for positive criticisms, observations and suggestions to enable his administration consolidate on the achievements of the immediate past administration.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Builder Gambo Ibrahim, enjoined the new executive members to work by the laws governing the profession, to serve as role models to their members.
He also encouraged other builders, who are yet to register with the institute, to do so, to serve people better.
Other new executive members of the Nigerian Institute of Building in the state, include Gambo Aliyu Muhammad, Auditor, Ibrahim Abubakar Yunusa, Treasurer and Mubarak Abdullahi Koli, Public Relations Officer.
