The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Federal Government College (FGC), Azare in Bauchi state has refuted a false and ungrounded report against the principal of the School Dr. Bukar Bukare, Saying is an effort to damage his reputation.
The Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Prof. Isma’ila Y. Shehu stated this in a statement made available to Journalists on Monday in Bauchi.
He called on the Federal Ministry of Education and the general public to disregard the reports against the principal of the school Dr Bukare.
He said the PTA's attention has been drawn to a fake news article published by News Net Global Online Newspaper of Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Titled: “Tension in School as Parents, Students Reject Principal Accused of Negligence in Buniyadi Massacre”.
“The paper reported that palpable tension has gripped Federal Government College (FGC) Azare, following the posting of a new principal into the school.
"Many parents and students are said to be jittery over the presence of the new helmsman they claim stirs but fear and trepidation in them”, Prof. Shehu said.
According to him, as Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of FGC Azare, this news came to us as very unfortunate and shocking,
"We are not aware of any of such happenings in the school.This news is false, ungrounded and mischievous.
"We see it as a very calculative attempt to distort the peaceful and conducive atmosphere and changes that FGC Azare is witnessing as a result of the principal’s efforts to restore back the glory of the college," The PTA Chairman stressed.
He said the PTA appealed to the Federal Ministry of Education, general public and all concerned that this news is fake and baseless as published by the paper.
"We found Principal Dr Bukare to be worthy of heading the school and we are satisfied and comfortable with his performance at the moment," Shehu pointed out.
