Exactly one year after Professor Asabe Sadiya Mohammed assumed office as the Provost Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare In Bauchi state massive development has sprung up in various sections of the College.
This is contained in statement of score card of January to December 2022 signed by Principal Assistant Registrar (PAR) Information Malam Sulaiman Shehu made available to Journalists on Friday in Bauchi.
He said the Provost averred the infrastructural and academic uplift recorded so far can be re-confirmed through the academic excellence achieved between January to December 2022.
Mohammed who is a Professor of Applied English Linguistics, Since her appointment, she never rested her oars and continued to strive to uplift the college. She was able to attract collaborations from different Government Agencies for execution of different development projects; some of which have already been actualized.
With the landmark achievement recorded at Aminu Saleh COE Azare ,with conducive lecture rooms, lecture facilities, standard and well equipped laboratories, 24 hours service library, hostel facilities, 24 hours medical services among others.
He said the management commended Professor Mohammmed for smooth and successful running of 2021/2022 academic activities of the college that meet up the academic calendar
According to him, Introduction of Four (4) additional Diploma and Postgraduate Courses in the School of Postgraduate Studies under College investment company limited Consultancy services COLLINVESTT) in affiliation with Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State.
"The courses are Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology and Security Studies, Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management, Diploma in Criminology and Security Studies and Diploma in Agro business
"She successfully hosted the NUC Accreditation of Three Degree Programmes namely; B. A. Ed. Hausa, B. A. Ed. English and B. A. Ed Islamic Studies.
"As well engaged the services of the Flexisaf for the development of College Website, portal registration and other online Academic processes which consequently led to the blockage of leakages of College funds.
"Smooth take up of the New NCE benchmark Academic Standard and creating Academic units to meet up with the new benchmark such as the school of General Studies, Directorate of ICT and the Directorate of Continuing Education,"
Shehu said the Provost Professor Mohammmed has coordinated with TETFund the procurement of equipment, facilities and furnishing of Laboratories with the view of meeting the accreditation of the College programs.
"Also facilitated through TETFund the quick release of funds to Staff of the College on study fellowship in Masters and PhDs.
He however said the Provost on her assumption in office, made some linkages with many agencies to attract interventions in the college and some of these have reached advanced stages.
