Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Umar Aliyu Shayi as the Commandant General of the State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency.
This is contained in a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim and made available to journalists in Bauchi.
According the Statement the appointment was informed by his track record of sincerity, hardworking and dedication in his previous responsibilities.
The statement says the Governor congratulated Alhaji Umar Aliyu Shayi on the appointment and charged him to bring his wealth of experience in facing the challenges of the new office.
Untill his new appointment, Alhaji Umar Aliyu Shayi was Senior Special Assistant SSA on Security to Governor Bala Mohammed and the Commander Nigerian Hunters and Forestry Security Service Bauchi.
The Statement added that the appointment takes immediate effect.
