Women Identified As Key Players in Nation Building

The role of women in building a better society in all spheres of life has been identified as a key in promoting national cohesion and gender inclusion in the country.

The Executive Director Doctors wives Association of Nigeria, Aishatu Shu'aibu made this known in an event to mark the 2023 international women day celebration in Bauchi.

Aishatu Shuaibu argued that unless the women folk are given all the neccessary support and oppurtunity to contribute their quota in tackling some of the social problems such as gender based violence and other forms of criminality bedveiling the country, Nigeria will continue to remain under-developed and less productive compared to the world economies.

She admonished women as agent in shaping and inculcating good moral values to the young generation to always dance according to their tune for them to have an egalitarian society.

Speaking on personal hygiene Executive Director for Alwadata lifeline initiative Mrs Wilfred Yusuf stressed the need for women to always maintain good personal hygiene especially during mensturation period to enhance their health status.

According to her much attention must be given on the issue of living in a clean and tidy environment as cleanliness is next to Godliness.

While drawing their attention to avail themselves with the modern day technological advancements in diversfying their family economy, An Executive Director Community Advocacy for Women Development Mrs Habiba Ajufor said gone were the days when a woman will be left with little or zero knowledge on the use of ICT to widen their horizon and generate more sources of income, adding that the world had since migrated from analogue to digital era in all aspects of human endevour.
