Group Urges Nigerian Leaders to Take Cues From Taraba State Governor Elect, Lt. Col. Agbo Kefas

Auwal Hassan, BAUCHI

Nigerians especially those at the helm of affairs on all tiers of government, administrators of economy as well as all leaders of thoughts across the county have been advised to take cues from governor elect of Adamawa state Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas Rt. Phenomenon, who despite all he has done to assist masses, does not believe in blowing his own trumpet or raising the dust about his achievement.

The call was made by a civil society organisation known as North East Youths Advocacy for Peace and Development Initiative during a congratulatory press conference to Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas Rt. Governor elect of Adamawa state in Bauchi.

National Chairman of the group Comrade Umar Adamu said they are not unaware of the numerous contributions given by Lt. Col. Agbo to the development of youths in the North East Region particularly the less privileged who are presently fulfilling their dreams of being self reliance and formally educated.

According to Comrade Umar, "We are equally aware that you have created thousands of job opportunities to the youths, indeed you have proved that you are a father to all and we lack words to say thank you."

"We are aware that you are a man with vast experience, hard working, generousity, tolerance and you show love and care to everyone no matter how big or small, white or black, Muslim or Christian that person is," Umar said.

Comrade Umar revealed that countless number of youths particularly from the North East are beneficiaries of one or more of the various gestures of Lt. Col. Agbo in a variety of human endeavours.

He said, "On behalf of all these people, students and youths who are beneficiaries of your gestures and holistic commitment to education, youths employment and grassroot development, we say thank you sir and more powers to your elbow."

He added that, "As your keen observers of your laudable performance and registered achievements of your leadership quality in the Nigerian military, you desired ideologies, bright and fundamental policies which had helped the nation to achieve a lot in the development of national security standard and absolute enthusiastic government/people relationship."

While congratulating him of the victory of being elected the governor of Taraba State, the group expressed optimism about his enthusiasm, saying, "we have seen progress in you and by the grace of God Almighty, you will not allow the good people of Taraba State and the country at large to perish."

"The challenges of leadership are enormous, but we want you to see this honour given to you by the God Almighty through the good people of Tabara state as a propeller and catalyst for you to double your efforts as an exemplary leader in your bid to make positive changes to the larger society," Umar said.

He further said, "I will submit by saying today's congratulatory press conference is in confirmation of the fact that 'honorable deeds are not performed by chickens heated fellows, but rather, by men who are not afraid of vagaries of adventure' men who knows that when you aspire a desire, you don't retire, instead you re-fire."

"Sir, as you aspire to acquire your futuristic desires, we want to encourage you not to retire but to continue to re-fire until Almighty God turn your aspirations to fulfillments that will be full of funfairs," Comrade Umar Said.
