Don't Increase Fuel Pump Price, Bauchi APC Stalwart Begs Tinubu

As Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu prepares to take over Nigeria's mantle of leadership on May 29, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi state, Alhaji Al'ameen Sani Muhammad has appealed to him not to increase the price of petroleum pump price.

Al'ameen who made the appeal in an interview with newsmen on Sunday, called on the President elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be a servant leader and apostle of Justice who can serve the country with Fear of God and can be fair and just to all Nigerians.

"Don’t increase petrol prices or any policy, call it deregulation, subsidy removal, appropriate pricing, etc that results in an arbitrary and unbearable hike in the price of petrol", he pleaded.

Alhaji Al'ameen who aspired to fly the APC Governorship ticket in the 2023 general elections, advised Tinubu to resuscitate existing refineries and create conditions for robust private sector investment in building new ones.

"He should focus on what will reduce hardship environment to Common Man, he should reduce common man's frustrations, he should focus on mechanized Agriculture, makes farming policies easier and accessible to common even if it means subsidizing the farming implements", he added.

According to Al'ameen, no responsible government shies away from subsidizing the production and consumption of essential commodities for its people.

He urged Tinubu to reversed all the last minutes appointment rushed done by the Buhari administration and reject the strong rumors going on that he will retain 17 Buhari ministers.

Al'ameen also appealed to Tinubu to investigate all the loans acquired by Buhari administration and do justice to the country over the loans.

"Infact, if there is window to reject the loans he should reject them".

The APC Chieftain who called for prayers to enable the president elect to succeed, added that with prayers, Tinubu will be surrounded by people who also mean well for Nigeria.

Al'ameen the former Assistant Director Grassroot engagement and Orientation of Tinubu Shettima Presidential Campaign Council expressed optimisms that the President-elect is going to take Nigeria to the promised land if he followed good advices from well meaning Nigerians.

Al'ameen while stating that Tinubu can transform Nigeria into a world class economy, only if he is supported by those who mean well for the country urged him to implement his reform to move the country forward.

Al'ameen said that the President-elect Bola Tinubu can only succeed if his efforts are complemented by right thinking Nigerians who share the vision for the unity of the country.

He advised Tinubu to assemble his cabinet members while he is awaiting his inauguration and announce them within the first week following his inauguration.
