NDLEA Warns Corp Members Against Use of Ilicit Drugs

National Drugs and Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA have warned Nigerian Youths against used of Ilicit drugs in order to live a healthy life. 

The warning was issued during a lecture organized for the National Youth Service Corps Members in Wamakko Permanent Orientation Camp Sokoto State. 

Mr Simi J. Bandy One of the National Drugs and Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, said the use of illicit drugs in Nigeria has in many ways destroyed lives, properties and the economy of the country hence the need for all hands to be on deck to checkmate the menace.

"Economically, businesses often are affected because youth who abuse drugs sometimes vandalize public and individual properties, steal or supplies equipment, and products that can be sold to get money to buy drugs.

The Lecture which was organised to look into the effect of illicit drugs and to underscore the negative effect on the value chain of businesses and the negative effects on the youth who are mostly vulnerable.

The NDLEA staff used the forum to urged politicians to stop using the drugs against youth for their political gain.

Another Speaker in the lecture Dugbe Ajayi, a Community Orientation Mobilization Officer (COMO) of the National Orientation Agnecy (NOA) charged the youth to be patriotic citizens and be ambassadors of their various institution for their living standard.

"Remember you are the leaders of tomorrow, so try as much as you can to be good ambassadors of your various states, I also enjoined to look into the live our fallen heroes as the patriotic people"

"By practicing these, you will be shun away from all forms of vices like thuggery, vandalism, and internet fraud."

Similarly the NOA Officer called in the corp members to live in peace with one another irrespective of their religion, ethnicity and region as no development could be achieve in a chaotic situation.
