The Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau on Wednesday chaired the inaugural meeting of the state implementation committee of the 2023 Transition Technical Committee report with tasking members to live up to expectations in order to achieve the desired objectives for enhanced service delivery.
Auwal Jatau who is the chairman of the implementation committee while speaking at the inaugural meeting at the conference hall of his office, pointed out that, the 2023 Transition Technical Committee report is a comprehensive and effective blueprint that outlines the steps needed to transform the state's governance system.
The Deputy Governor said with the inaugural meeting, the committee must fast-track to start the implementation process immediately so as to see positive results we desire and assured of the support of the state government to ease the committee's assignment.
He recalled that, 'My Bauchi Project’ is the strategic vision of Governor Bala Mohammed that was initially developed in 2019 to guide his administration in the implantation and execution of people’s oriented policies and programmes, adding that, the project has assisted in the development of the Bauchi State Medium Term Development Pan 2021-2025 as the roadmap towards addressing the numerous demands of the citizenry and the electioneering promises made to the people.
The Deputy Governor expressed his appreciation that between 2019 and 2023, a lot of achievements and gains have been recorded including some important progress towards the provision of basic social services and improving the quality and stock of infrastructure that had impacted passively on the lives and wellbeing of the people of the state.
According to him, the current revised document has provided the Governor and the Government the road map for defining a prosperous economic trajectory through the provision of social services and building the required infrastructure that will guarantee sustainable economic growth and development and therefore said as members of the implementation committee who have been entrusted with a great responsibility, the future of the state rests in their hands.
