Commissioner Warns Against Diversion of Food Meant for Boarding Schools

As part of an effort to ensure transparency and accountability in the supply and distribution of food across all the boarding schools in the state, Bauchi State Commissioner of Education Dr Jamila Muhammad Dahiru has warned suppliers against diversion of food meant for students. 

The Commissioner gave the warning while inspecting boarding schools in the state to ensure that the available food is adequately distributed. 

She also emphazes the need for students in the state's boarding schools to receive healthy and adequate meals. 

She however directed the immediate distribution of various food items, emphasizing the importance of students receiving nutritious meals for their well-being and academic success.

The food supplies to be distributed include a variety of essential items such as biski, millet, rice, beans, milk, sugar, lipton, palm oil, groundnut oil, and cornflakes. 

Dr. Jamila Dahiru stressed the need for food monitors to ensure that all students receive sufficient meals and warned that any diversion of the supplies would not be tolerated.

While expressing gratitude to Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the commissioner acknowledged the governor's commitment to the education sector and his provision of sufficient food supplies for the students. 

She also lauded the governor for his impressive dedication to enhancing the well-being and educational experience of students across the state.

The directive from Commissioner Dahiru signals a strong dedication to ensuring that students in boarding schools have access to the necessary nutrition to support their physical and academic development. 

With an emphasis on accountability and student welfare, the initiative aims to uphold standards of quality and care within the state's educational institutions.
