The All Progressive Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Aspirant in Edo State, Dr Blessing Agbomhere has pledged that his government would give priority to children education and youth empowerment if elected as governor in 2024.
This is contained in a statement made available to Journalists on Wednesday,He decried the situation which had left many children out-of-school children.
He pledged to ensure that the children were given sound education, from primary school to tertiary level.
"Supporting the welfare and education of children in Edo State is incredibly important."
"By investing in their education, we can empower them to have a brighter future."
"Providing access to quality education, resources, and support systems can make a significant impact on their lives," Agbomhere said
According to him, It's crucial to prioritize their well-being and ensure they have the opportunities they deserve. Together, we can make a difference.
The aspirant said vibrant youths, with their talents effectively utilized, will help the critical areas of nation building.
"The socio-economic and political challenges currently confronting the country are direct consequences of poor education that has resulted in poverty and unemployment among the teeming youth.
"Education remains the key to unlock the enormous potentials in every individual."
"If elected as the Governor i will not only ensure quality education for all but adequate training and retraining of teachers
"On latest teaching skills among the provision of all necessary facilities," he said
He added "when people are exposed to the right education, they are mentally liberated to also make better choices and also contribute tremendously to the development of the society.
"A well educated child is a big asset to society and will not be negatively used or manipulated easily" he said.
