The Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Bauchi State says it is adequately prepared to participate in the forthcoming Local Government Elections slated for 17th August 2024.
It therefore assured to provide a level playing ground for all candidates who indicate interest to contest elective positions of both Local Government Chairmen and councilors.
The State PDP Chairman Hamza Koshe Akuyam made this known while briefing Journalists after the party's stakeholders meeting presided over by Governor Bala Mohammed at Government House Bauchi.
Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam also says the party would encourage active participation of the youths and women in the election through fifty percent reduction of the price of expression of interest form.
Meanwhile, the state PDP has fixed the 27th of this month for the conduct of its congress where new officials that would run affairs of the party would be elected.
The meeting has in attendance Chairmen of the stakeholders from the twenty local government areas of the state, PDP Senators and Members of the National Assembly, members of the state working committee among others.
