The Governing Council of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU Bauchi, has approved the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Prochancellor of the varsity and Chairman Governing Council Air Commodore retired Emmanuel K Jekada gave the announcement early morning today Thursday at the end of the council meeting in Bauchi.
He said the process started since last February with advertisement and after a thorough screening and interview Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba emerged first to beat two other contestants for the post.He pray the new Vice Chancellor will do his best and carry the university to greater height.
A source in the varsity said more details will emerge and Professor Garba Hassan is expected to receive a handing over and takes over the leadership of the varsity later in the day.
