Bauchi State Judicial Service Commission Announces New Appointments and Disciplinary Actions

The Bauchi State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced the appointment of seven new magistrates and the upgrade of seven lower Sharia Court judges to upper Sharia Court Judges. 

According to Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma, Secretary of the JSC, the newly appointed magistrates include:

- Sadiq Mohammed Abubakar Esq. as Chief Magistrate II
- Aminu Umar Esq. as Chief Magistrate II
- Sani Maigari Isah Esq. as Senior Magistrate
- Bintu Umar Mustapha. as Senior Magistrate I
- Abdullahi Adamu Sarki Esq. as Senior Magistrate I
- Ha'inatu Ahmed Esq. as Senior Magistrate I
- Mohammed Sani Yakubu, as Senior Magistrate I

Additionally, seven lower Sharia Court judges have been upgraded to upper Sharia Court judges, including:

- Hafizu A. Nuhu
- Abdullahi Tijjarni_
- Umar Zakari Yakubu Esq.
- Dr. A.S. Adam Bello Esq.
- Nuhu Idris Mohammed
- _Isa Mohammed Bauchi_
- Ibrahim Ibrahim Water Esq.

The JSC also took disciplinary action against five staff members, including the dismissal of Rabiu Idris Shall Esq., Principal Registrar, due to misconduct and unruly behavior. 

Saleh Ahmed Fanti Esq., Chief Magistrate, was compulsorily retired for gross misconduct, while Hamza Mato Zungur Esq. was removed as an Upper Sharia Court Judge and converted to the Registrar Cadre. 

Warning letters were issued to Mukhtar Muhammad Bello and Mohammed Ismail, with their next promotions deferred by one year.

The Bauchi State JSC remains committed to ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the judiciary, with a focus on justice and service to the public.
