In a bold declaration, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing the Bauchi South Senatorial District, has expressed unwavering confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will unseat the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State in the upcoming 2027 elections.
This assertion was made during a critical stakeholders meeting held in Bauchi, where party unity and strategic planning took center stage.
Senator Buba, who chairs the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, emphasized the significance of the meeting, stating, “The critical stakeholders meeting is for the peace, unity, and progress of the party.”
The event witnessed a strong turnout, including House of Representatives members, ministers, and former party officials, highlighting a united front within the APC.
“This is a clear signal that there is no faction in Bauchi APC; we are united as one family,” he added, reinforcing the party's readiness to reclaim power.
The meeting culminated in a communiqué that expressed the APC's collective support for President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope Agenda" and the two ministers from Bauchi State.
The communiqué, signed by state Chairman Muhammad Hassan, also outlined a commitment to instilling a disciplinary framework within the party to address misconduct without bias.
Additionally, the party pledged to ensure justice, equity, and fairness in upcoming congresses and elections, vowing to stand firmly behind all APC candidates in future contests.
The communiqué also called on the Federal Government to expedite the Bauchi-Gombe oil project, emphasizing the need for swift action to benefit both states and the nation as a whole.
The APC in Bauchi looks to foster ongoing collaboration and communication, with plans to hold similar stakeholders meetings quarterly.
The party remains focused on addressing the hardships faced by citizens, urging the Federal Government to take further steps to alleviate their struggles while encouraging the populace to pray for their leaders.
As the political landscape evolves, the APC's strategic moves signal a determined effort to regain control in Bauchi State, setting the stage for a competitive electoral battle in 2027.
