Bauchi First Lady, NAPTIP Join Forces to Tackle Human Trafficking


The Wife of the Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has joined forces with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to combat human trafficking in the state.

During a meeting with the Commander of NAPTIP, Mansour Ahmed, and his team, the Bauchi State First Lady  assured her support and cooperation to help rescue victims of human trafficking and arrest traffickers.


The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between NAPTIP and the State Action Committee on Social Gender Violence (SGBV) to combat human trafficking, domestic violence, and rape.

The First Lady however emphasized the importance of educational programs to eliminate societal attitudes that perpetuate violence against women.

Mansour Ahmed praised the First Lady's efforts in reducing gender-based violence in the state and promised continued cooperation from NAPTIP. 

He stressed the need for a joint effort to minimize human trafficking and smuggling of migrants, which are serious organized crimes.

The partnership is a significant step towards combating human trafficking in Bauchi State, and it is hoped that it will yield positive results in the fight against this heinous crime.
