Jigawa state Governor Mallam Umar Namadi has urged the newly appointed Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaiba Saidu, to uphold Jigawa State's reputation and deliver on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's agenda.
Governor Namadi made the remarks when Dr. Saidu, accompanied by a delegation of elder statesmen from Babura Local Government and Ringim Emirate, paid him a visit in his office.
The governor expressed confidence in Dr. Saidu's capabilities, citing her experience as the Provost of Jigawa State College of Islamic and Legal Studies.
"Her appointment as a minister is a choice from Allah," he said. "She has the capacity to drive the president's agenda, and we are confident that she will not disappoint."
Dr. Saidu, in her remarks, thanked Governor Namadi for supporting her nomination and assured him of her commitment to delivering on President Tinubu's educational reform agenda.
"I will do my best to ensure that we deliver on the mandate given to us," she said.
The minister also extended her appreciation to the people of Jigawa, particularly the residents of Babura Local Government and Ringim Emirate, who accompanied her during the visit.
