Governor Namadi's Quick Response to Disaster Earns SEMA's Praise

The Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has applauded Governor Alhaji Umar Namadi's swift response to the recent PMS fire accident in Majiya town, which claimed 209 lives and left many others injured.

SEMA's Executive Secretary, Alhaji Haruna Mai Riga, praised Governor Namadi's administration for providing timely support to victims of floods and other disasters in the state. 

He noted that the governor's commitment to serving the people has earned him a reputation as a humanitarian governor.

Mai Riga highlighted the state government's efforts in providing relief materials to affected communities, including the distribution of over 12,000 bags of rice to flood victims. 

He also commended the federal government and donor agencies for their support in providing about 4,700 trucks of food to affected victims of disasters.

The SEMA Executive Secretary expressed gratitude for Governor Namadi's support in reducing poverty and hunger in Jigawa to the lowest level. 

He also praised the governor's efforts in providing support and assistance to internally displaced persons in the state.

"We pray for God to continue to guide our government and the governor of Jigawa for making a difference in a positive way for the betterment of the people," Mai Riga said.
