The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) of Saudi Arabia has praised Almuhibbah Foundation for its effective use of a $100,000 grant to empower women farmers in Bauchi State.
The grant, awarded to support the Women Empowerment Acha Fonio Project, benefited over 300 women across Alkaleri and Dass LGAs. Muhammad Golam Mortaza, an evaluation specialist from IsDB's Independent Evaluation Unit, led a team to evaluate the project's impact.
"We are happy with the Foundation's transformation of beneficiaries' lives through training and equipping women to grow and process Acha grains," Mortaza said.
"This initiative exemplifies impactful development, and we congratulate Almuhibbah Foundation for this accomplishment."
Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, First Lady of Bauchi State and Founder of Almuhibbah Foundation, expressed gratitude for the Bank's evaluation. "This recognition motivates us to do more," she said.
The project aimed to enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability in the Acha value chain, according to Mrs. Ladi Ibrahim Thomas, Executive Director of Almuhibbah Foundation.
