PROTECTING THE INNOCENT: Haske Humanitarian Aid Initiative Advocates for Stricter Laws Against Child Abuse


In a deeply distressing incident, the Haske Humanitarian Aid Initiative has issued a strong condemnation following the brutal rape and murder of a two-year-old girl in Ningi Local Government Area. 

In a press statement signed by communication officer of the organization Samuel Itodo, this horrific crime has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting urgent concerns about the prevalence of sexual violence and the need for systemic reform.

He said Haske Humanitarian Aid Initiative, known for its dedication to promoting human dignity and protecting vulnerable groups, has called for immediate and decisive action. 

The demands of the organization include intensified efforts by the Bauchi State police to thoroughly investigate the crime, leading to the swift arrest and prosecution of those responsible. 

The organization stresses the necessity for swift justice and severe penalties for the perpetrators to serve as a deterrent against such heinous acts in the future.

In addition to legal action, the initiative advocates for the strengthening of laws and policies aimed at protecting children from sexual violence. 

They emphasize that current measures are insufficient and call for comprehensive reforms to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the region.

Support for the victim’s family is also a key concern. The Haske Humanitarian Aid Initiative insists on providing necessary protection and assistance to help the family cope with their devastating loss.
