Renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has taken a groundbreaking step towards reducing Almajiri begging in society by integrating Qur'anic schools with western education.

The scholar has established a Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School in Bauchi, marking a significant milestone in his over 100-year journey of propagating Islamic knowledge.

The Mu'assasa Model Quranic Nursery and Primary School, commissioned yesterday, aims to provide a well-rounded education that combines Islamic studies with modern learning.

Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru, commended the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Foundation for its efforts, emphasizing the importance of integrating Islamic studies into modern education.

Dr. Dahiru urged the foundation to continue its good work, highlighting the state government's commitment to prioritizing education.

She stressed the need for collaborative efforts to address social issues and promote collective growth, encouraging analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle real-world challenges.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi's foundation seeks to reduce Almajiri begging by promoting both western and Islamic education. The scholar emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge, unity, and righteousness to overcome Nigeria's challenges. He referenced Quranic verses, underscoring the significance of knowledge in Islam.

By integrating Qur'anic schools with western education, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi's initiative sets a precedent for addressing the challenges faced by Almajiri students.

As the Prophet Muhammad emphasized, "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave."  This pursuit of knowledge is crucial in fostering a well-rounded understanding and promoting collective growth in the state.
