Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has signed the 2025 budget appropriation and the Bauchi State Water Users Association Law, marking a significant milestone in the state's development.
The 2025 budget, which was presented to the House of Assembly on November 21st, has undergone rigorous scrutiny by the lawmakers, resulting in an increased allocation of over N466 billion, with a surplus of N2 billion.
Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, expressed appreciation to the Governor for his tireless support and harmonious working relationship amongst all arms of government.
Governor Mohammed lauded the state legislators for the quick passage of the budget, assuring that his administration would ensure the implementation of the document to provide more amenities to the people.
The Bauchi State Water Users Association Law aims to promote the judicious use and management of drinkable water in the state. Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of water, noting that his administration has invested significantly in revitalizing the water sector.
The Governor pledged to ensure effective utilization of clean drinking water for all citizens, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of the people.
This development comes on the heels of similar budget signings by governors in other states, including Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, who signed the 2025 appropriation bill into law on Christmas Eve.
