Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has appointed Na'annabi Ahmed as Chairman of the Jigawa State Civil Service Commission (CSC), pending confirmation by the state's House of Assembly.
This decision was made public through a statement by Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
Na'annabi, an experienced administrator, has had a distinguished career in the civil service, rising through the ranks to retire as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce.
He previously served as Jigawa State's acting Head of Civil Service from June to October 2015.
The appointment takes effect immediately, following the expiration of the former chairman's tenure on December 10, 2024.
According to the statement, Na'annabi's selection is based on his merit, competence, and personal integrity.
