Sa'adu Zungur University has appointed Dr. Aliyu Ahmad PhD, MIM, MPhil as its new University Librarian.
In a press statement signed by Auwal Hassan, the University's Public Relations Officer, Dr. Aliyu, who was born on May 15, 1973, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having worked at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he held various positions.
Auwal Hassan said, the Vice-Chancellor of Sa'adu Zungur University, Professor Fatimah Tahir, expressed confidence that Dr. Aliyu's experience and expertise will enhance the library services and support the university's academic programs.
Dr. Aliyu is a registered member of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and the Nigerian Library Association (NLA). He also served as Acting University Librarian at Khadijah University, Majiya, Jigawa State.
His appointment takes effect immediately, and he will be responsible for leading the university's library services, developing library policies, and collaborating with faculty and students to support academic excellence.
