NYASS WEEK: Dahiru Bauchi Foundation Offers Free Medical Outreach To 1,000 Bauchi Citizens

 

In commemoration of Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass' 125th Maulud anniversary, the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation organized a one-day free medical and surgical outreach in Bauchi. The event, held at the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Islamic Centre, provided critical healthcare services to underserved populations in collaboration with the Almuhibba Foundation and Makka Eye Hospital.

According to Sayyadi Ahmad Tijjani Sheikh Dahiru, Deputy Chairman of the Sheikh Dahiru Foundation, the outreach was part of the week-long Maulud anniversary celebrations, which included a series of activities such as "Sheikhs Week" where scholars present scholarly papers ¹.

The foundation's preference for supporting healthcare initiatives and humanitarian activities is designed to assist the less privileged, especially in Islamic education. Sayyadi Tijjani emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing poverty and healthcare challenges.

Over 1,000 beneficiaries received medical attention, including surgeries for cataract removals, eye surgeries, and provision of eyeglasses. The outreach addressed various medical conditions, including fibroids, appendicitis, and eye-related diseases. A team of medical specialists conducted the surgeries, highlighting the foundation's commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in Bauchi State and beyond.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the life-changing initiative and commended the foundation's efforts to improve healthcare accessibility. The Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation's dedication to positively impacting needy individuals is a testament to its commitment to humanitarian causes.
