In a significant development, renowned journalist Usman Shehu Usman has officially taken over as the Commissioner for Information in Bauchi State. The assumption of duty ceremony, held at the Ministry of Information and Communication headquarters, marked a new chapter in the state's information dissemination landscape.
Usman Shehu, a seasoned journalist, pledged to foster a collaborative relationship with media professionals in the state. He emphasized the importance of accurate and effective communication of government policies and programs. The commissioner also vowed to strengthen digital communication, prioritize staff welfare, and focus on capacity building to enhance service delivery.
In his inaugural address, Usman Shehu stressed the pivotal role of the Ministry of Information in bridging the gap between the government and the people. The handover ceremony was attended by management staff, agency heads, friends, relatives, and PDP stakeholders from Giade Local Government Area.
