Bauchi State Government Donates ₦50 Million to Hope Alive Initiative


In a bid to support the less privileged in the state, the Bauchi State Government has donated ₦50 million to the Hope Alive Initiative, a foundation affiliated with the Ooni of Ife. 

The donation is aimed at supporting the foundation's 2025 aid program, which is designed to provide assistance to vulnerable groups in the state.

The governor of made the announcement after receiving Her Majesty, Olori Temitope Morenikeji Adesegun Ogunwusi, at the Government House in Bauchi. During the meeting, they discussed the vital role of traditional institutions in social empowerment and the need for collaborative efforts to uplift vulnerable groups.

Governor Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the Ooni's dedication to philanthropy and community development, reaffirming his commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift vulnerable groups. He noted that the donation will complement the foundation's efforts, particularly in assisting disadvantaged children during the upcoming Valentine's Day celebration.

The governor also commended the Hope Alive Initiative for selecting Bauchi State as a beneficiary of its program, recognizing the state's cultural diversity, religious harmony, and hospitality. He assured the Ooni's palace of the state government's unwavering support for humanitarian initiatives and its commitment to partnering with organizations that drive meaningful change.
