Bauchi State Police Command, 33 Artillery Brigade Reaffirm Partnership


The Bauchi State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its existing collaboration with the 33 Artillery Brigade, following the appointment of a new Commander, Brigadier General UG Simon.

According to a press release issued by the Command's Public Relations Officer CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil welcomed Brigadier General Simon to the State Headquarters in Bauchi, where they held discussions on areas of mutual interest.

Wakil said during their meeting, Brigadier General Simon reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the positive relationship between the Brigade and the Police Command. He acknowledged the vital role that the Police Force plays in maintaining internal security and highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between the two agencies in achieving shared objectives.


In response, CP Auwal expressed his appreciation for the Commander's willingness to cooperate with the Police Command to address the state's criminal activities. He referenced the exemplary partnership experienced with the outgoing Brigade Commander and expressed confidence that this productive collaboration would continue under Brigadier General Simon's leadership.

Following the meeting, Brigadier General Simon presented CP Auwal with a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the spirit of goodwill and mutual respect between the two agencies.

COMMAND RECEIVES NEWLY PASSED-OUT CONSTABLES


In a related development, the Bauchi State Police Command has received 395 newly passed-out police constables from the Police Training School in Bauchi. The constables, comprising both General Duty and Specialist officers, are all indigenes of Bauchi State and have been assigned to serve within the state.

While addressing the new constables, CP Auwal underscored the importance of integrity, respect, and professionalism in their interactions with the public. He emphasized the need for discipline and adherence to ethical standards, cautioning against corruption, indiscipline, or unprofessional conduct.

The Commissioner of Police encouraged the new constables to serve as exemplary ambassadors of the Police Force, demonstrating civility, respecting human rights, and maintaining professionalism in all public interactions.

He also urged them to uphold the vision of community policing promoted by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, by serving in their respective local government areas of origin.

The passing-out parade of the new constables marks a significant boost to the manpower of the Bauchi State Police Command, and is expected to enhance the Command's ability to maintain law and order in the state.
