In a gesture of goodwill during the holy month of Ramadan, the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has donated essential food items to the staff and organs of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.
The palliatives, which include bags of rice, cartons of spaghetti, and bags of maize, millet, and sugar, were delivered to the PDP National Secretariat and the Presidential Campaign Office.
The donation was made through the Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hon. Hajia Hajara Yakubu Wanka, who led the distribution of the items.
The beneficiaries of this timely gesture included members of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), the National Executive Council (NEC), the PDP Governors’ Forum Secretariat, and staff from various party organs, including the People’s Democratic Institute (PDI).
In her remarks during the event, Hon. Wanka expressed the Governor's commitment to supporting the party’s staff, particularly during the Ramadan season. She noted that the donation was part of the governor's broader humanitarian efforts to ease the burdens of the people, especially those who work tirelessly for the party's success.
The staff and party officials at the PDP headquarters in Abuja were full of gratitude, commending Governor Bala Mohammed for his thoughtfulness and generosity. They thanked him for considering their welfare during such an important time of spiritual reflection and fasting.
The distribution of these Ramadan palliatives is seen as a significant display of the Governor's continued support for the PDP and his ongoing efforts to promote solidarity and goodwill among party members.
As the holy month progresses, this donation has brought joy and relief to many within the party, further strengthening the bond between Bauchi State and the national leadership of the PDP.
