Governor Bala appreciated Resident Cement for their confidence in Bauchi State and assured them of his government's unwavering support to ensure the success of the landmark project. He revealed that the company will sell 10% of its shares to the government and 10% to the people of the area.

The governor also awarded an indigene certificate of the land to Resident Cement Factory and an indigene certificate of the state to the chairman of Resident Cement Company.

Dr. Abbas Waziri Junaid, the Group Chairman of Resident Cement, commended the governor's leadership and vision. He stated that the company expects to produce 10 million tonnes of cement annually and will construct a 100-150 megawatt electricity plant, a 3000 truck parking space, and other social amenities.

The project is expected to generate employment opportunities, stimulate economic growth, and drive development in the North East region. Within two to three months, the company plans to build offices, deploy more equipment, and construct 3000 trailer parks. An airstrip will also be built to ease movement of people.
