The District Head of Giade, Alhaji Sabo Abdulkadir, honored Dr. Yakubu Adamu, Bauchi State Commissioner of Finance and Economic Development, with the traditional title of Sarkin Fada. The recognition showcased Dr. Adamu’s contributions to community development, particularly in infrastructure and social welfare initiatives across Giade.
The title was conferred during ceremonies marking the inauguration of a newly built mosque in Kasuwar Rake and the renovation of the Giade General Hospital mosque—projects fully funded by Dr. Adamu. He also facilitated the construction of gender-segregated toilet facilities at the Masallaci Sama (JIBWISS) mosque to improve sanitation for worshippers.
During his remarks, Alhaji Sabo Abdulkadir praised Dr. Adamu as a visionary leader and proud son of Giade whose altruism has transformed the community. He emphasized that the title highlights Dr. Adamu’s dedication to projects aligning with communal and spiritual priorities, setting a benchmark for leadership and service.
Giade Local Government Area Executive Chairman, Alhaji Usman Sule (Randi), commended Dr. Adamu’s sustained commitment to grassroots development, noting that his initiatives foster unity, dignity, and progress while exemplifying servant leadership.
Alhaji Yayanuwa Zainabari, Public Relations Officer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, highlighted Dr. Adamu’s transformative impact across Shira and Giade LGAs. He stated that the communities had not experienced such systematic humanitarian progress until Dr. Adamu’s interventions, which he described as rooted in compassion, equity, and sustainable development.
In response, Dr. Yakubu Adamu expressed gratitude to the Giade traditional institution, leaders, and residents for the honor. He reiterated his commitment to advancing development in Bauchi State, framing the title as both a personal honor and a call to intensify efforts to uplift communities through stakeholder collaboration.
The event attracted dignitaries including Bauchi State Commissioner for Information and Public Orientation, Alhaji Usman Shehu; Commissioner for Cooperative, Small, and Medium Enterprises; PDP chairmen from Giade and Shira LGAs; acting local government officials; religious leaders; and supporters. Proceedings featured Zhur prayers at Kasuwar Rake mosque, Asr prayers at Giade General Hospital mosque, and goodwill messages from stakeholders.
