Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has attended the commissioning ceremony of the newly constructed Juma'at Mosque, located opposite the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Headquarters, near the Awalah Roundabout in Bauchi.
The mosque, named the At-Taqawa Islamic Center, was built by the Jarman Bauchi, Alhaji Garba Mohammed Noma, and is set to serve as a key religious landmark in the city. The commissioning ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, including the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, top government officials, and several prominent personalities.
The event also saw attendees perform the Juma'at prayer at the newly constructed mosque, a significant moment for the Muslim community in Bauchi. The Deputy Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Imam Ahmed Na'ibi, presided over the ceremony and delivered an insightful address, calling on the Muslim Ummah, particularly well-spirited individuals, to continue supporting and investing in the propagation of Islam.
During the ceremony, Alhaji Danladi Mai Auduga, Durbin Bauchi, spoke on behalf of the Jarman Bauchi, expressing gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for his unwavering support in making the mosque a reality. He also thanked all individuals who contributed to the mosque’s completion and prayed for Allah’s abundant blessings upon them.
Governor Bala Mohammed, in his remarks, lauded the successful completion of the mosque and highlighted the importance of religious structures in promoting peaceful coexistence and fostering moral development within the society. He pledged continued support for initiatives that advance the welfare of the people and promote religious and cultural values in Bauchi State.
The commissioning of the At-Taqawa Islamic Center marks a significant milestone in the state's efforts to support religious institutions and enhance the social fabric of the community.
