The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has assured stakeholders of the legislative arm's commitment to the success of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project in the state.
Dr. Suleiman made the assurance during a workshop in Kano for stakeholders from various ministries, departments, and agencies to discuss the project's implementation, strategies, coverage, and impact in Bauchi State.
The Speaker expressed his delight in being part of the workshop, describing it as a significant step towards enhancing effective governance and developmental progress in Bauchi State. He noted that the ACReSAL project, financed by the World Bank, presents an opportunity to transform communities through strategic actions and collaborations.
Dr. Suleiman promised that the Bauchi State House of Assembly would work assiduously to ensure the project's success, leveraging its legislative powers to support the initiative. He cited the House's recent passage of the Waste Scavenging and Recycling Bill, which makes Bauchi State a pioneer in this area.
The Speaker urged participants to engage actively and share their insights, emphasizing that their contributions are invaluable to the project's success.
