The Bauchi State Police Command has initiated a comprehensive investigation into a horrific incident of jungle justice that occurred on April 9, 2025, in Lushi.

According to the Command's Public Relations Officer CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, "Two individuals, Dokagk Danladi, 38, and Peter (surname unknown), were accused of dog theft and brutally attacked by a mob of youths."

Wakil said reports indicates that, "Dokagk Danladi sustained severe injuries, including machete wounds to the head, and is currently receiving medical attention at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi. Unfortunately, Peter was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel."
